Kite check

Green means the wind strength, direction and gusts all look right for your level on one of your kites. Orange means rideable but with a catch (onshore, gusty, lumpy water). Red means stay home.

Offshore wind is a no without a boat or a downwind plan, however good the speed looks. Ride with someone else on the beach, and trust what you see when you get there over any forecast. Spot notes are rough: check them with local riders.

Set your weight, kites, level, units and location above; spots are ordered by distance from where you are, and thresholds shift with your weight and level. Forecast is the Met Office UK model via Open-Meteo, topped up with Open-Meteo's default model where the Met Office data runs out. It refreshes each time you open the page. In the hourly row the grey number is air temperature and the blue is water. Each spot has links to Windy and XC Weather for a second opinion.
